Christchurch Call Initiative launched to control online extremism on Social Media
New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and French President Emmanuel Macron launched it called Christchurch Call Initiative for stopping abuse on internet. It outlines collective, voluntary commitments from governments, tech companies and internet service providers to address issue of terrorist and violent extremism content online and to prevent abuse of the internet.
Many country like India, Canada, Britain, Ireland, Senegal,
Norway, Indonesia etc signed it along with New Zealand. Christchurch call
Initiative have been exit now because of We all know that some time before in
New Zealand a Person killed many in a mosque and show it live on facebook that
is very dangerous. It spread wrong message and terrorist killed many peoples in
Sri Lanka that is massive attack terrorist attack on Sri Lanka. Around 300
peoples dead in it.
So Christchurch call initiative is launched to control
extremism on internet who abusing internet for such purposes like spread
terrorism. India also signed it and many country signed on it except USA.
What is Christchurch Call Initiative? And why this agreement signed?
This agreement aimed to combat against extremism online,
terrorism and Secure the internet. This is first type of Voluntary document
open to both major governments and private companies. It named after
Christchurch city inside New Zealand where 51 person were killed in mosque by
person and show it live on facebook. Effect of this live killing another attack
on Sri Lanka.
